The international encounter of the temporarily professed sisters took place from 2nd June to 1st July 2008 in France. We gathered together in Paris from Chile, Cameroon and Madagascar to spend these four weeks together.
It was a time when we got to know each other a little better, with the variety and diversity which characterises our different cultures. We were helped to deepen the history of our Congregation in the very country where each one of the seven founding Congregations has its roots. This became more real as we visited some of the foundation places. We were also enabled to relate the history of the Congregations to the changing history of France.
Three days of recollection in the silence and beautiful surroundings of our house at Epernon, St Thomas' Priory bound us together at a deeper level especially in what is the essence of our common call and mission.
Before we parted company a festive evening of dances, songs and laughter was spent with the community and friends of Epernon - a beautiful illustration of the colours of our different countries. |
